Procedures for visa application by mail

Applicant must live within the Consulate's jurisdiction.



 The Consulate accepts ONLY express mail envelopes carried by the U.S. Postal Service - U.S.P.S.  Envelopes submitted by other carriers will be returned without opening. 

 
 
 We recommend express mail to be faster and safer.
 
 

1) Submit by mail
b) Consular fee , payment by U.S. Postal Service money order, only;
    Please note, there is an additional handling fee of US$ 20.00 per application sent by mail.
c) Envelope of return (recommended Express Mail as well) pre-stamped and self-addressed.

2) Processing Time
Fifteen (15) days, mailing time not included.
The processing time can be considerable increase in times considered high season, without notice.
IMPORTANT 
 
The Consulate will not be held responsible for delays, losses or stolen documents or money sent or returned by mail.
We recommend that the applicant take note of  the "tracking numbers" of the envelopes (both of submit and the return).

In case of loss, the person should go to an agency of mail with your "tracking number" and seek measures. In that case, new original documentation must be provided by the interested party, along with new payment.
 
Incomplete or incorrect documentation will be returned.
