In recognition of the ties between Brazil and the United States, the Trade and Investment Department has been created to enrich and facilitate the economic interaction between the two countries. It will support American companies interested in investing in or importing from Brazil, and aid Brazilian business wishing to export products and services to the Midwest.

Specifically, the Trade and Investment Department will conduct market research, organize business missions, and help executives and entrepreneurs identify business opportunities. It will provide information on Brazilian-American trade, with an emphasis on business practices and regulations. Additionally, it will participate in business meetings and presentations related to the Brazilian and the international economies.
